Beschreibung

The Hörnli-Express gondola comfortably takes you up to the scenic Hörnligrat. From there, you start on foot through the Urdental or take the Urdenbahn at a leisurely pace. At the Urdenfürggli, the path first leads steeply down before the varied ascent begins through a gallery, past rock walls, with wide views over Lenzerheide, up to the Parpaner Rothorn. From Parpaner Rothorn, you can either take the gondola to Lenzerheide or hike back the same way to Arosa.

This scenic hike leads from one summit in Arosa to a summit in Lenzerheide, a unique experience!

Before starting the hike or on the way back, enjoy the legendary cream slice at the Hörnli hut.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

By train to Arosa, then take the free local bus from Arosa station towards "Hörnli" to the base station Hörnli-Express. From there, comfortably take the Hörnli-Express up to Hörnli, where the hike starts.

Anreise Information

Follow the signs from Chur to Arosa. At the village entrance, continue up the road towards the village. At the bus stop "Gada" turn left towards Hörnli. There are limited parking spaces.

Parken

At the village entrance, there is a parking information board that shows you where parking spaces are still available.

At the Hörnli-Express, there are few paid parking spaces available. Alternatively, you can leave your car in the Brüggli parking garage, from where it is about a 10-minute walk to the Hörnli-Express base station.

The Ski Club Arosa built the Hörnlihütte in 1923 on the highest point of the Hörnligrat. Today, the hut presents itself as a hotspot in the middle of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area. Widely known, popular and very well frequented. Cozy and sturdy! We cook with fresh products and make almost everything ourselves. We do not use aromatics or flavour enhancers and buy in the region. For dishes that fit into the mountains! A total of 43 people can stay overnight, there are newly renovated rooms with two to four beds, our luxurious Arven Stube and two bedrooms for 13 and 10 available.

The Aerial Tramway Urdenbahn is the core of the skiing area Arosa Lenzerheide, as it connects both destinations. After many years of planning and waiting, the cable car is in service since January 2014. Arosa Lenzerheide with its 225 kilometres of slopes, numerous mountain restaurants and sheer endless hours of sunshine, is the biggest connected skiing area of the Canton of Grisons.
