«Il vitürin Muntatsch»

After the special highlight with the open-air play "Che Capodovra!" in the summer of 2024 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of our theatre group in Sent, we are pleased to take on a new challenge this year.

The Sent theatre group is bringing back to the stage the play that began it all over 40 years ago: the drama "Il vitürin Muntatsch" (original title: Fuhrmann Henschel) by Gerhart Hauptmann, which is set in the 1860s, directed by Christian Hänny.

The protagonist Muntatsch lives together with his terminally ill wife, the newborn daughter and her maid.
The plot revolves around the confrontation with the protagonist's own guilt as well as the failure of morality. An unfulfilled promise is the trigger for Muntatsch to endure the resulting tension. The own judgment and the courage to tell the truth of all those involved are put to the test.
