Jakobsweg Graubünden: Stage 7

The Scalettapass (scaletta = ladder) is a mule track used from the Bronze Age until the opening of the Flüelapass in 1871. Vallember is the name of the wild foaming stream by the picture-book hamlet of Susauna. The challenging path continues to Alp Funtauna and down to Dürrboden in the wild-romantic Dischmatal.

Attention:

Each year in October and from the end of April to the end of May, the Swiss Army conducts shooting exercises around S-chanf. Therefore, the area between S-chanf and the mountain inn Dürrboden via the Scalettapass is closed, and it is life-threatening to walk there as a pilgrim.
