In the 1970s the then intact moorland at Jufplaun was drained to reclaim pastures. In August 2013 work was completed for renaturalisation. Since then the magnificent fen vegetation has slowly begun to settle again.

The fen landscape can be reached on foot from Buffalora or Süsom-Givè. Walking time between 30 and 60 minutes.
