In 1975, the hit song "Gigi vo Arosa" by Ines Torelli triggered a hype. For the record launch, the Arosa Ski School delegated ski instructor Dani Meisser to Zurich, who from then on became known as the embodied "Gigi vo Arosa". Internal friction followed and an appearance on Swiss television, in which Luigi Casalini from Arosa pretended to be "Gigi". Dani Meisser – the real "Gigi" – released his own single "Skiplausch im Schnee" in 1978.
