The Winterreise by Franz Schubert is one of the best-known song cycles of the Romantic period, which consists of a series of 24 songs based on poems by Wilhelm Müller. They represent an imaginary hike through a winter night. The work is considered a great challenge for singers and pianists, both technically and interpretatively. Mattias Müller-Arpagaus is a sought-after soloist in sacred works and opera productions. In Graubünden, he regularly performs in recitals, most recently with Schubert's "Die schöne Müllerin" and cycles by Mahler and Beethoven. He will be accompanied on the grand piano by Duri Collenberg.
