On Monday, simple bowls and decorative items are made. On Friday, after the raw firing, the unique pieces are glazed and fired using the raku technique.
In this low-firing process, the red-hot vessels are removed from the furnace individually with long tongs at temperatures around 1000 °C and embedded airtight in a container with wood shavings. Because of the heavy smoke, we work outdoors. The firing process can only be controlled to a limited extent, so that each piece is guaranteed to be unique.
