Ascent through a lonely valley with a airy summit experience. (SAC-WS)

Beschreibung
Krüzlistock is a border summit between Uri and Graubünden and exactly 2100 meters below its summit cross since 2016 the trains rush through the NEAT tunnel. From the start in Rueras, the direction is guided by the Val Milar, heading almost straight toward Mittelplatten. At the hut in Paliu Cotschna we refresh ourselves for the short, steep ascent that follows immediately. In deep winter we are glad that someone has already made a track before us, and in spring crampons must not be missing. Below Piz Pali, always with a view of our goal, the route continues again at a slow pace. After the last switchbacks to the small notch behind us, we decide whether to walk easily left to the winter summit or whether we dare the exposed summit ridge to the right. Because the snow-covered and rock-strewn ridge is quite narrow and towards the end we even have to scramble a little. The space around the summit cross is limited; we make ourselves as comfortable as possible and enjoy the view into the depths.
The descent runs in a southwesterly and southerly direction along the ascent route.
Geheimtipp
Those who do not trust the exposed summit ridge can also enjoy a beautiful view from the winter summit north of the notch.
Sicherheitshinweis
The steep section behind the hut requires careful assessment.
The summit ridge to point 2716 is very exposed. Point 2709 is easier to reach.
