The Lai Urlaun is the largest of the three high moor lakes in the Val Maighels. It lies below the Maighelshütte and is covered with Arctic char. In the early morning hours you will meet fishermen here, later numerous hikers or bikers pass by the lake, following the Vierquellenweg or the bike route number one.
Orchids, buttercups and cotton grass bloom on the damp meadows in summer, but you can also find dry spots for a picnic, with a view of the Piz Borel with the Maighels glacier.
Hiking time: From Oberalp Pass, 1.5 - 2 hours
