The language learning path explains how the Romansh language developed around 15 BC after the Romans' arrival, when the Romansh-speaking area reached its greatest extent, and why it then shrank.
This also includes insights into the linguistic background of the 4th Swiss national language and reveals parallels with other languages. The knowledge about the Romansh language is accompanied by information about the sights you will encounter, the development of Flims, and how the Surselva got its name. By the time you reach the end of the Senda Romontscha, you will surely be able to talk with some locals about your walk, the weather, as well as the forest and its animals.
