Beschreibung

Behind the Arosa train station near Obersee, get on the Weisshorn gondola and get off again at the middle station. There you can obtain the all-terrain JST Multidrive wheelchair. An employee of the Arosa Bergbahnen will instruct you.

The hiking route is well marked.  Shortly after the first post of the Bear Sanctuary Adventure Trail, we follow the signpost towards the Carmenna Hut. The well-navigable gravel path leads through the beautiful mountain landscape of Arosa, this path is known to many winter guests from the ski area.

Geheimtipp

The hike is particularly beautiful in mid-July. Then go through a abundance of flowers like in paradise.

Ausrüstung

The trail is only passable with the JST.

The JST Mountain Drive - ideal companion for independent excursions. An all-terrain electric wheelchair specially developed for natural mountain hiking trails, green gravel, steps and cobblestones.  Thanks to two powerful electric motors and the robust design of the wheelchair, couped hiking trails, steep inclines and even long natural surface routes can be easily navigated. 

Arosa Bergbahnen AG has two models that can be rented as required.

Purchase & return at the middle station.

Good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing is recommended.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway runs every hour to Arosa. Travelling on the Rhaetian Railway is to be made as easy as possible for guests with disabilities. Boarding and disembarking aids can be reserved up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. For more information, please visit www.rhb.ch

Even when you arrive in Arosa, you remain mobile. The Arosa Bus likes to transport its passengers from A to B and strives to meet their needs. If you want to travel by taxi, there are other options: The Alpin Taxi (+41 81 377 35 35) has larger taxis where the wheelchair can be loaded into the trunk.

Anreise Information

From Chur, follow the signs via Schanfiggerstrasse to Arosa. After entering the village, follow the main road to the post office. Afterwards you drive along the Obersee. At the Güterschuppen restaurant, there is a large public car park on the right-hand side.

Parken

At the entrance to the village there is a parking information board. The multi-storey car park Ochsenbühl and the public car park at the Obersee are recommended.
