A jewel in an authentic, ancient Walser settlement high above Langwies. Medergen is a power spot like no other, a little village without electricity, with only two village fountains – original, simple, picturesque, and full of character.
You can reach us from Arosa or Langwies on foot in 2-3 hours, by bike in about 2 hours, or by car from Sonnenrüti with permission. The Naturfreunde-Haus Arosa is an ideal place to stay and is only 10-15 minutes away.
Let your soul and feet dangle where the cow bells chime. Find peace, relaxation, and switch off everything...
Together with Chalet Campino, Arosa, we offer authentic Graubünden mountain specialties, from fine platters to soups, salads, and typical dishes to freshly prepared cakes, strudels, and other desserts. In addition, we have coffee, tea, and all kinds of beverages with and without alcohol.

Anfahrt
From Chur via the winding Arosa Road to Langwies. After passing the village, follow the Arosa Road to Sunnarüti. The forest road winds up the mountain for just over 5km to Medergen.
There is a driving ban for motor vehicles and motorcycles on the Mederger Road. However, the roads can be used with a special permit from the municipality, which can be obtained at the start of this road.
It is possible to obtain daily and parking permits via SMS, Twint, or Parkingpay

A hiking path leads to the Walser village of Medergen.
Directly at the entrance to the village of Medergen, there is a parking lot on the right side where you can park your car.
The Rhätische Bahn operates hourly from Chur to Arosa (also in the opposite direction).
Take the Rhätische Bahn to Langwies or Litzirüti and continue on foot.
