The Hochwanghütte is located in the middle of the ski area St. Peter (Hochwang at 1958 m.a.s.l.), and is directly accessible by ski or snowboard.
Due to the exceptionally sunny location, we invite you to linger and enjoy. We are also the ideal starting point or destination for ski and
snowboard tours in the Mattjisch Horn / Fideriser Heuberge area.
Pedestrians can reach us in a cozy ½ hour via the groomed winter hiking trail from the Triemel chairlift mountain station. For extensive winter hikes, groomed footpaths are available from or to Pagig, Fatschel (chairlift valley station), Pagig, or Peist.

The Hochwanghütte is located in the middle of the hiking area of the Schanfigger High Trail at 1958 m.a.s.l. Thanks to the exceptionally sunny
location, we invite you to linger and enjoy. We are also the ideal starting point or destination for hikes on the Schanfigger High Trail
or in the Mattjisch Horn/Fiderser Heuberge area.
You can reach us conveniently: the chairlift goes from Fatschel to Triemel (opening hours see www.hochwang.ch). On weekends, a free bus from Sportbahnen Hochwang AG operates. From Triemel, the hike to the Hochwanghütte takes a leisurely ½ hour. On weekdays, the chairlift is not in operation. You have the option to reach us via Fatschel-Triemel (1 1/2 hrs.) or via Peist-Hochwanghütte (2 hrs.). Additionally, there is the option to use the toll road Pagig-Triemel.
