Beschreibung

The tour starts at the Pizolhütte in the midst of a beautiful alpine mountain panorama. At lower altitudes, the tour delights with a variety of sights along the way, such as the new arched bridge over the Tamina gorge and the Freudenberg castle ruins.

Wegbeschreibung

The Pizol cable cars take you comfortably up to the high plateau of the Pizol skiing and hiking area. The tour starts at the Pizolhütte at 2,222 m. ü. The route takes us directly southwards to ALp Lasa. From the alp, we use the well-maintained hiking trail as a singletrail and thus reach the Lasa ravine via Schleifböden and Dreher. At the fork, we take the left-hand path and after around 2 km reach the old alp road, which we follow down to the village of Valens. We now continue out of the valley, past Böden and Suldis, until shortly before the arched bridge over the Tamina gorge. Here we branch off to the left. The route takes us on an easy ascent to Wildboden. From here we return via Chrinnenberg and past the Freudenberg ruins to the valley station of the Pizolbahnen in Bad Ragaz.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Take the train to Sargans, continue by post bus to the Wangs bus stop, Pizolbahn directly at the Wangs valley station. From there, take the gondola lift and two chairlifts to the Pizolhütte.

Anreise Information

Take the Sargans highway exit, then follow the signs to the Pizolbahnen valley station in Wangs.
