The tour starts in the middle of a beautiful alpine mountain panorama at the Pizolhütte. At lower altitudes, the tour delights with a variety of sights along the way, such as the new arched bridge over the Tamina Gorge and the Freudenberg castle ruins.

Wegbeschreibung

With the Pizolbahnen we can comfortably reach the high plateau of the Pizol ski and hiking area. The tour starts at the Pizolhütte at 2,222 m above sea level.M. The route leads us directly south to ALp Lasa. From the alp we use the easily drivable hiking trail as a single trail and thus reach the Lasatobel via grinding floors and turners. At the fork we take the left path and after about 2 km we reach the old alpine road, which we follow down to the village of Valens. We now continue out of the valley, past Böden and Suldis, until shortly before the arch bridge over the Tamina Gorge. Here we turn left. The route leads us over an easy ascent to Wildboden. From here we reach via Chrinnenberg and past the ruin Freudenberg back to the valley station of the Pizolbahnen in Bad Ragaz.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Take the train to Sargans, then take the post bus to the Wangs bus stop, Pizolbahn directly at the Wangs valley station. From there with the gondola lift and two chairlifts to the Pizolhütte.
