Wegbeschreibung
From Zernez railroad station (1474 m above sea level) through the village eastwards towards the Ofen Pass and over the covered wooden bridge over the Spöl. From here there are two variants: After a section of tarred road, the western route leads along a dirt track towards the forest, turns sharply to the east and then climbs gradually. The eastern path leads along a cart track through meadows into a larch forest, climbs steeply and finally meets the dirt track described above. From here, head east to the Sarasin Stone, which is located on the edge of the Cluozza Gorge and is dedicated to one of the founding personalities of the Swiss National Park. The path zigzags up to Il Pra and on to the Bellavista hut (2039 m above sea level). Continue upwards through the forest border area and across alpine meadows, where trusting chamois are often spotted, past the 44 dry stone walls from the 19th century, which were piled up here as avalanche barriers. Where the path turns south-east again, the view opens up into the Val Tantermozza. Once you reach the Murtaröl ridge (2579 m above sea level), you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Engadin, Val Tantermozza, Val Cluozza and the Murtersattel saddle opposite (see "Murter" route). The trail ends at the Steinmann. To return from here, descend directly northwards past bizarre rock formations back to Il Pra. From here, return as on the ascent. From Il Pra, you also have the option of hiking into the Val Cluozza (see "Chamanna Cluozza" route).
