In the heart of the National Park the trail across Muottas Champlönch climbs down to the deep Spölschlucht gorge and back up to Fuorcla Murter. The views range far across untouched nature with valleys full of rocks and boulders, steep mountain slopes and rocky peaks. Forests of stone pine, extensive Alpine meadows and marmots make this route particularly attractive.

Beschreibung

At the beginning of the stage, the route shares the path with the children's path Champlöntsch. Afterwards, the panorama path leads over Grimmel, a viewpoint to linger with views towards Ofenpass and across the National Park. Over Vallun Chafuol and Fuorcla Murter it goes to Chamanna Cluozza. 

Highlights: 

  • Chamanna Cluozza is the only staffed hut in the Swiss National Park. It is located at an altitude of 1,879 meters and is open during the summer from the end of June to early October. In 2022, the hut was extended by a modern annex, which serves as accommodation for the hut operators and staff.

  • From Zernez by PostBus towards Ofenpass

Anreise Information

  • From the North: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass to Zernez and further towards Ofenpass up to the pass summit

  • From the East: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27 up to Zernez

  • From the South: via Reschen Pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27
