The Natura Trails are thematic excursions in protected areas, which raise awareness of the protection of nature and landscape and support the sustainable development of the region. A Natura Trail is much more than just a walk. Thanks to the pocket guide you can make your excursion more interesting, for adults and children, without neglecting information on the flora, fauna and landscape that surrounds you. Thanks to a project launched in 2004 in Austria, more than 180 Nature Trails have been established in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe. The Nature Trail concept was awarded in 2008 by the Austrian UNESCO Commission as the project of the decade of "Education for Sustainable Development".
