Ova Cotschna Vertical

The route starts at the Ovaverva indoor pool. Turn right behind the indoor pool and after the playground (on the right side) enter the forest heading towards Piz Mezdi/Ova Cotschna. From here it goes steeply uphill through a dense forest over narrow to wider forest roads. At a signpost with a bench, the path divides. Continue uphill through the "jungle" always heading towards Piz Mezdi/Ova Cotschna (there is only one path from now on). A stream flows in this section, and dense shrubs create a warm/moist climate. The stones on this trail are mostly very slippery - be careful! Above the tree line, a breathtaking view opens over the Engadin high valley. The trail now follows a narrow track continuously ascending in switchbacks. After a while, a small plateau with a signpost is reached. Here the path splits to the right towards Ova Cotschna (to the left towards Piz Mezdi) and passes two or three small lakes. One last small ascent and you are on the Ova Cotschna enjoying the view! Descend the same way as the ascent.
