Beschreibung

The well-marked mountain hiking trail leads from Klosters (we recommend the Gotschnagrat mountain station as a starting point) over four "passes" into the Fideriser Heuberge. Along the way, you pass the idyllic Grünsee where the brave can refresh with a plunge into the cool water. Over a partly wet and cow-trodden trail across a nationally significant raised bog, the Strassberger Fürggli pass is reached. The high plateau of the Fideriser Heuberge with two small lakes hosts a diverse array of animal and plant life. Overnight stays are possible at the Berghaus Arflina at 2000 m above sea level.

On the second day, the route descends steeply over the Fanin Pass into the Varnezatobel. In the wild and partially moderately marked Chuonzentobel, you can discover gravel towers as interesting natural phenomena. At the Gasthaus Hochwang, you can rest a second time; an extremely varied cuisine and a wonderful panoramic view of the Rätikon accompany the evening.

On the third day, you descend via the Furnerberg to the Alp Laubenzug and then climb back up to Stams. The Bündner Rhine Valley opens up, and the view travels from Chur over the Calanda massif down towards Landquart.

Stages:

Geheimtipp

PostAuto from Obersays to Trimmis.

Please note the rest days of the Berghaus Arflina Fideriser Heuberge here.

Sicherheitshinweis

The gorge descents on the second day require surefootedness.

Ausrüstung

High hiking boots recommended; in wet conditions and with cattle access, the section between Durannapass and Strassberger Fürggli can be somewhat "swampy." We also recommend the usual hiking equipment such as mountain clothing adapted to the season and a map.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Take the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to Landquart, then the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) to Klosters Platz. The most comfortable way up to the Gotschnagrat is by the Gotschna cable car.

Anreise Information

On highway A13, take exit 14 (Davos, Klosters, Vereina) in Landquart and follow national road N28 to Klosters and follow the signs toward the Gotschna cable car.

Parken

It is recommended to use the parking lots at Landquart station and then take the Rhaetian Railway to Klosters Platz. This way you park your car in a convenient location from the endpoint of the route.
