Beschreibung

A leisurely start from S-charl with a steady but gentle ascent, past alpine pastures along the mountain stream Clemgia. All on forest roads, after two short bridge crossings, two ramp-like climbs await to the next height – so gather momentum. At the top, the valley opens up with views of Alp Astras and the idyllic surrounding nature. Fresh alpine products and the cozy atmosphere invite you to a short break before the more demanding part of the route. Now follows a single trail up to the pass height, which is well rideable with a bit of concentration. Punctuated by a few very short but steep sections, a little balance and technique on the gravel bike is required here. At the top, you enjoy a unique view from one valley into the next. From here it’s almost all downhill. The first section on a coarse gravel road may become a short pushing section for less experienced riders. After a few meters, you can get back on the saddle, and a bumpy descent over gravel and light trails follows up to the height of Alp Champatsch. From here, the route leads down via forest roads and a temporarily paved road to Lü, Tschierv, and then comfortably through the valley on forest trails to Sta. Maria.

Geheimtipp

  • For a longer route, the "Muntada S-charl" can be added from Scuol

  • Detour to Alp Champatsch below the Pass da Costainas (mountain restaurant la Posa) for a refreshment break
