Peil

From the starting point Vals Post, through the village of Vals to the base station of the Sports Lifts Vals. From there, the road goes uphill, starting with a steep climb through the Peil forest. At the forest chapel, the road flattens somewhat, and the cool forest offers some relief. The ascent on a gravel road to Bodahus is again steep. As a reward, a fantastic view of the Peil mountains and the Valser Horn awaits. Descent on a narrow path through the colorful meadows. In Peil, the Peil kiosk invites you for a short break. The ride continues with a flat section, followed by a climb to the alpine pasture Tschifera. The path is bumpy and dotted with climbs. After Tschifera, the descent into the village begins via the alpine pastures Uf dr Matta and Aberschhus on a hiking trail that requires some skill. From Aberschhus, return to Vals via farm roads. Through the districts Rufena and Mura back to the base station.

Many sights such as the Peil Valley, the St. Michael chapel in Peil, the Geissalp Sust in Peil, the Peil brook, and the historic alpine pastures like Tschifera and Uf dr Matta are an experience on this route.
