Beschreibung

The trail leads through the forest and above the forest line from Peist. High up, the Skihaus Hochwang awaits you, spoiling you with wonderful views and delicious snacks. The trail then winds its way along the Höhenweg to Triemel in the middle of the ski area. Return through the sparse forest into the valley to the picturesque and sunny village of Pagig. From there you follow the main road to St. Peter, where you can take the post bus back to the starting point or to Chur.

Geheimtipp

  • Stop at the Hochwang ski lodge on the sunny terrace with its great views.
  • Rewarding refreshments in the Pagigerstübli at the end of the hike.
  • Combination with the post bus from St. Peter to Peist.

Sicherheitshinweis

If the winter hiking trails are closed, do not walk on them (possible avalanche danger or other dangers / diversions).

Ausrüstung

Sturdy shoes, winter hiking poles are an advantage, sunglasses and sun cream

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

In Chur, take the post bus to Peist and travel to the Peist village square (terminus). You can find the timetable here.

Anreise Information

As this is a long-distance tour, it is worth travelling by public transport. Otherwise, take the cantonal road to Peist.
