Piz Beverin is one of the most famous lookout mountains in Graubünden. Due to its prominent location in the Adula Alps and its impressive height – a "near three-thousander" – it offers a stunning panoramic view.

Beschreibung
The hike to Piz Beverin, the local mountain of Beverin Nature Park, starts from Mathon. You follow the natural road southwards down to below the Alp Tumpriv. A signpost shows the hiking trail to Piz Beverin. The easier path leads first over the Beverin Gap and then via the ridge to the summit. The descent route goes over the 8 m high ladder, the Beverin Pintg, and back along the ascent route to Mathon.
Alternative routes
- From Mursenas above Mathon you save about 2 hours of hiking time and 385 meters of ascent and descent. For the road from Mathon, a driving permit with coins must be purchased at the machine.
- From the Tguma parking lot above Wergenstein, you save about 1.5 hours of hiking time and 330 meters of ascent and descent. For the road from Wergenstein, a driving permit with coins must be purchased at the machine.
- From the Glaspass, an alpine route leads to Piz Beverin. Beware of rockfall!

The Restaurant Muntsulej in Mathon is ideal for a refreshment after the strenuous hike. From the terrace, there is a beautiful view of Mathon and the Schams valley.
