Piz Platta 3392 m ü.M. (oua_70000502_image)
Piz Platta is one of the most beautiful ski mountains of Oberhalbstein. In addition to a first-class view, there are enjoyable descents, especially to Mulegns. Crossing the mountain from Avers to Oberhalbstein is particularly rewarding. Piz Platta should only be attempted under safe conditions, and alpine experience is necessary on the summit structure (depending on the route choice up to 45° on 150 vertical meters).

Beschreibung

From Mulegns:

From Mulegns (1482 m) through Val da Faller, following the alpine road, to Tga. From here cross the Fallerboden towards SW and ascend along the stream into Val Bercla up to around 2260 m. Then head NW roughly along the summer path steeply up to the Platta terrace. Now turn SW again following a small valley, later over steep slopes (up to 35°) onto the Platta glacier and then north to the entry points. 6.5 hrs.

Descent: along the ascent route

Variant: In Val Bercla, with a small counter-slope, route 427 c can be taken towards Muttans P. 2440 and then directly descended to the dam of Lai da Marmorera.

From Pürt:

From Pürt (1921 m) steeply over the ridge south of the Malegga stream, until you can cross into a small valley at about 2200 m. Up the valley floor, below Büel P. 2541 northeast over steep slopes and steps into a hidden cirque at the base of P. 3201. (More comfortable, but somewhat longer, is the ascent to the Band lakes P. 2652 and over the terrace at the foot of the rocky west face of Tälihorn north into the aforementioned cirques.) Only eastward up the increasingly steep slope and through a steep, left-rising couloir (up to 45°). Finally on foot into a small notch at P. 3140 to the north. You are now standing in front of the summit structure of Piz Platta, which can be climbed in two variants: either cross the glacier hollow to the northeast to a terrace at the south mouth of the couloir descending from the summit. Ski depot at approx. 3150 m. Through this steep snow gully (approx. 45°) and over the subsequent ridge to the summit. Or climb through the glacier hollow north to the start of the west ridge of Piz Platta, ski depot at approx. 3240 m. Over rocks to the right into a steep, rock-strewn snow gully (up to 45°), which leads to the flat summit. 5 hrs.

Descent: on the ascent route or more beautiful and longer to Mulegns
