Piz Tomül 2946m

The mighty Piz Tomül towers with its nearly 3000 meters and the very elongated southeast ridge on the border to the Safiental. After the varied ascent, a spectacular panoramic view over the neighboring mountains and valleys is offered due to the comparatively large dominance.

For experienced hikers, the ascent from Alp Rischuna via Rinderpirglücke and the exciting northeast ridge is recommended. Descent as described above.

By hiking bus from Vals up to the Riefawald (1820 m). Directly behind the parking lot begins the small access path to the official hiking route, which after a short steep section leads in 30 minutes to the idyllic clearing Pradätsch (1951 m) with a view of the Zervreilasee.

Following the now flatter path, the gorge of the Tomülbach soon opens up and reveals the impressive high plateau of Riedboda, crisscrossed by meandering streams.

Past the Stafel of the Alp Tomül (2181 m, 1 hour 15 minutes from Pradatsch), the actual ascent to the summit (1 hour 45 minutes) finally begins at the Tomülpass (2412 m, 1 hour).

Short, steep ascent on pathless terrain up to the elongated southeast ridge. Always following the path found there, the mighty summit comes closer and rises high above the valley floor. At the top, a spectacular view of the mountains of Graubünden, the surrounding cantons, and all the way to Italy is offered.
