Beschreibung
4 km east of Sargans, near the Vita Parcours, is an idyllic place. Enjoy a walk in the Rheinau recreation area in Sargans / Mels, which is popular with locals. The walk takes us through the forest and along the Rhine dam. We enjoy the view of the Ellhorn , the Gonzen and the Pizol area.

Along the way there are several information boards about the Alpine Rhine Trail with interesting facts about the "Ri-Wald" and the creatures on the Rhine.

Wegbeschreibung
By car we reach the start of the small round trip in about 5 to 10 minutes from the center of Sargan. We can park directly at the parking lots of the Vitaparcours Mels-Sargans and next to a cozy fireplace. The path leads through the floodplain forest to the Rhine dam and further along the edge of the forest with a wonderful view of the Rhine and the Pizol area. At the beginning, a short section of the trail runs near the highway - but it quickly becomes quieter.
