Because of the mild climate it is also called the "Riviera Walensee". This is particularly felt in Quinten and can also be seen. Kiwis and figs grow there.

Beschreibung
From the post bus stop "Weesen, See", where there are also plenty of public parking spaces, the hike runs along the main road to the hamlet of Fli. From here, a small road - which is partly carved into the rock, lies just above water level or leads through tunnels - leads towards Betlis. At the former Roman watchtower Strahlegg, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view. After the Seerenbach waterfalls, there is an ascent of around 200 meters into the Seerenwald forest. The first part can be covered on a very beautiful and wide path. Then the somewhat steeper and rockier path, which is secured with ropes, leads downhill to the hamlet of Quinten, one of the few places in Switzerland that is still car-free. The mild climate allows figs, lemons, kiwis and an excellent wine to ripen. You can then return to Weesen or other stations on Lake Walen by boat.
Geheimtipp
Visit the "Geschenklädeli" in Quinten right next to the church. You can buy local specialties there.
Sicherheitshinweis
The path leads partly over slippery terrain with bare limestone rock.
Ausrüstung
Good hiking boots are absolutely essential.
