Säumerweg Avers: Juppa - Soglio

Long tour; with a gentle ascent to Alp Bergalga and on to the Bergalga Pass. Along a high alpine lake landscape between 2500 and almost 2800 metres above sea level, you reach the transition to the Bregaglia, from where the wonderful panorama over the valley with its imposing mountains opens up to the hiker. The long descent on mostly narrow paths into Bregaglia is scenically fantastic and is compensated by the idyll of the mountain village of Soglio at 1,100 m above sea level.

From Juppa, head south into the Bergalga valley on a dirt road. You reach Alp Bergalga and walk past green alpine meadows, between large boulders, towards the Bergalga Pass, which is located on a small mountain lake.

We continue to the saddle of the Pass da Roda (2777m), in the middle of small mountain lakes. Via the pass dalla Duana (2535m) you reach the southern flank in Bregaglia; from there, the wonderful panorama of the Bregaglia with its imposing mountains opens up to the hiker. The long descent on mostly narrow paths into Bregaglia is scenically fantastic and is compensated by the idyll of the mountain village of Soglio at 1,100 m above sea level.
