Beschreibung

After a leisurely walk through Brigels, the path leads to the idyllic Val Frisal. At first, the path follows the murmuring stream, passes an alp and then climbs over a saddle up into the high valley. There, the Val Frisal spreads out in front of you with its wide meadows and quiet seclusion.

After a short rest, the route first goes downhill before the ascent to the Bifertenhütte begins. First steep, then gentler over flower-filled alpine meadows, the hut slowly appears on the horizon. From the terrace, a beautiful view of the Val Frisal opens up.

Hint: With reserves of strength, the ascent to the Kistenstöckli (T4, chains, 250 m elevation gain, approx. 30 min) is worthwhile. The view from up there is impressive.

Geheimtipp

For the tour, early reservation of the huts is necessary, as places are limited.

Sicherheitshinweis

In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar comes up during the hike, you should turn back in time.

Ausrüstung

For the long-distance hike, it is recommended: hiking backpack with rain cover, good hiking boots or trekking shoes with a firm profile, weather-appropriate clothing in the multi-layer principle including rain and sun protection, a change of clothes, provisions and drinking water, telescopic poles, a first aid kit, pocket knife, headlamp, maps, hut sleeping bag and personal hygiene articles.

Uaul Scatlè - Fichtenurwald, Brigels

"Scatlè" means something like "nested", the spruce forest is really nested with steep rock ledges, boulder debris fields and avalanche trains.

Between 1850 m and 2015 m above sea level, the 150 to 300 metre wide strip of forest stretches. The reserve, which covers about 5.5 hectares, is the highest primeval spruce forest in Europe.
