Sennis circular route via Malun

We start the hike at the Palfries mountain station. With the Palfries cable car, we previously overcame about 1,250 meters of altitude in just 12 minutes. The cable car crosses an impressive waterfall (Ragnatscher Bach) and takes us up to the Palfries plateau.

From the mountain station, the hike leads to the Palfries mountain inn, where after the parking lot it continues uphill towards Alvier. At "In de Stei" the mountain path branches off to the left and takes us over "Mürli" to Alp Malun. From there, it goes through pastures and natural roads to Hotel Kurhaus Sennis.

For the half-hour return trip to the cable car valley station, a shuttle bus is available. Departure is at 4:00 pm or from the end of September at 3:00 pm. The ride must be reserved in advance (cable car valley station or directly at the Hotel Kurhaus Sennis).

The Swiss family hearth by the small lake of Hotel Kurhaus Sennis invites us to linger.

From the mountain station, we hike 500 meters on the paved alp road to the Palfries mountain inn. Immediately after the gravelled parking lot, we take the mountain path turning right towards Alvier. After about half an hour, you reach "in de Stei" where the path continues to the left. A wonderful alpine spring with the most diverse and beautiful alpine flowers can be experienced on the route to "Mürli" and onwards towards Alp Malun. The path leads us over alpine pastures and through wetlands. The alp is accessed by a natural road from our planned hiking destination. We follow this for about 400 meters and then branch left again onto a hiking trail.

In the "Schwamm" we reach the alp access road again and follow it to Hotel Kurhaus Sennis.
