Just under a kilometer long and already a full-fledged cross-country ski trail. Surrounded by a fairytale forest, the varied trail winds its way through the Tuf recreational area. The area lies at 1320 m above sea level and is very snowy thanks to its sheltered location.

Beschreibung

Surrounded by a fairytale forest, the varied trail winds its way through the Tuf recreational area over a length of around 1 km. Tuf lies at 1320 m above sea level and is very snow-rich thanks to its sheltered location. This allows for good training sessions or a cross-country skiing course on natural snow even in years with little snow. True to the motto “small and beautiful”, the Pro Siat association is also prepared to supplement the Surselva's winter offer in winter.

Due to the topography, only one trail can be prepared for skating. The whole circuit is technically rather demanding, but it is possible to do a short circuit on the valley floor of Tuf.

The amount for using the cross-country ski trail is freely selectable. (cash desk at the edge of the trail)

Geheimtipp

The remains of the former Friberg Castle, which belonged to the noblemen of the same name, stand on a mighty rocky outcrop above the village of Siat. If the snow conditions permit, it is definitely worth a visit.

Standard cross-country skiing equipment is sufficient.

The circular tour starts at the parking lot in Siat, leads through the forest and ends back at the parking lot.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Siat can be reached from Ilanz by bus 421 (direction Siat, vitg). From the Postbus terminus, you can reach the trail on foot in just a few minutes.

Anreise Information

Siat is easily accessible from Ilanz by car. Drive through Rueun and after the municipal administration turn right onto Curtgin Da Puoz Sura Street. Then follow the road to the parking lot in Siat. This is located at the end of the Siat bypass. Please do not drive into the village center.
