A short variant of the Tscheurig snowshoe trail with a view of the end of the valley with the Weisshorn. If you're lucky, you might spot ibex on the opposite side of the valley!

Beschreibung

The trail branches off to the right of the valley road opposite the post bus stop. The trail climbs steadily up to the lower Tscheurighütten huts. From here, follow the trail for about 300 meters before turning left at the signpost. The trail leads straight ahead and slightly downhill until you reach the trail of the long variant. From here, descend to Gassli or Turrahus/postbus stop.

Geheimtipp

The trail can also be walked in the opposite direction.

Sicherheitshinweis

This snowshoe tour is marked with pink posts in the terrain, but is not groomed. There are some steeper slopes. If there is a high avalanche risk, tours in unsecured terrain must be avoided.

Ausrüstung

Well-functioning snowshoes, poles with winter poles, good footwear, clothing suitable for winter. In winter, the wind can significantly reduce the perceived temperature: Don't forget winter gloves, hat, thermos flask, etc.

It is necessary to carry complete safety equipment, including an avalanche transceiver (LVS) on this tour.

Snowshoe equipment can be hired from the Gasslihof.

Via Chur A3/A13 via Bonaduz to Versam and on into the Safiental to Thalkirch.

Parken

Few parking spaces at the church Thalkirch or at the Turrahus. Due to the small number of public parking spaces, we recommend travelling by public transport.
