Beschreibung
The beginner route starts at the village square in Silvaplana and first leads over the bridge to Surlej. After a first gentle ascent, you will reach the Palüd Lungia raised bog. Keeping right at Lej Zuppò, the natural road passes the former ski jump ramp down to the tennis hall of St. Moritz and the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains. Now the route follows a stretch of the main road uphill to St. Moritz village up to the roundabout near the Schweizerhof, Hauser, and Steffani hotels. Shortly after the roundabout towards Somplaz, a gravel road leads diagonally uphill to the right. Following this, you ride comfortably uphill in a large hairpin bend to Salastrains and further to Signal, the highest point of the route. The descent to Champfèr is not very steep and leads through the famous Suvretta area with beautiful villas. Through Champfèr, it then goes to Lake Champfèrer and along the lakeside promenade back to Silvaplana.
Detour: from Signal back to Oberalpina and via Chasellas to Suvretta.
At the Ovaverva indoor pool & Spa, you can switch to the marked e-bike route D.
