Sur - Alp Flix - Sur

After the church, the hiking trail starts to the left. The steepest part of the hike is already behind you after a few meters. Passing by the rock face, where chains are partly installed, the impressive Piz Platta (3392 m), the second highest mountain in Surses, appears on the left. Through the forest on a wide gravel road past a biotope you reach a wonderful viewpoint. At the bench, you can now enjoy the beautiful view and the peace before continuing towards Alp Flix. Quite unexpectedly, you suddenly stand in front of the black lake in the Alp Flix nature reserve. Along the lake, the path leads up to the two blue lakes. Here you can really let your soul dangle. To get back to Sur, you have three options. Shortly after the farm shop in Cuorts, a hiking trail goes down to Sur on the right, or you walk down the official road into the village. Also very beautiful is the hiking trail below the Hotel Piz Platta. This leads along the small church over the wooden bridge through forest and meadows back to Sur.

In spring April/May, Alpine anemones, crocuses, and gentians bloom on Alp Flix.
