Short eventful discovery tour from Splügen through alpine landscapes to the Suretta Lakes.

Beschreibung
The route leads from the pass village of Splügen first along the historic mule route in the direction of the Splügen Pass. Above the village, the path branches off to the left and leads off to the right at point 1589 into the Fugschtwald. Now it zigzags up until the forest thins out and the alpine roses characterize the landscape. Soon you cross the path coming from the Isa bridge and continue through boggy and stony landscapes to the first level with the Under Surettasee. The trail leads only through blocky terrain up to the Ober Surettasee at 2266 m above sea level. Here, a jetty with a fishing boat invites you to take a break with a view of the high alpine terrain.
Now the path goes down through prickly and partly damp bog grass towards the northeast. After a few gentle steps, you cross the Leimtobel. At the first crossroads, turn left into the forest path to the Panell. From here, turn right into the road and then left again onto the trail down to the Hinterrhein. Along the river back to Splügen.
Geheimtipp
Worthwhile from spring to autumn.
The fishing boat on the Upper Suretta Lake can be used free of charge and at your own risk for a round on the lake.
On the other shore of the lake and at the rear Turrasee there are cozy and quiet places to linger.
The lake hut can be booked for an overnight stay (not catered for).
