Surlej-Lake Champfèr-Crest'Alta-Surlej

The path starts at Surlej bridge along Lake Champfèr towards St. Moritz. Ducks like to stay in the reeds and it is not uncommon to see a dipper fly away. At the end of the lake cross the bridge and walk along the Inn to the other bridge, which you cross again to hike back on the other riverbank. Now the path leads up through the forest to Crest’Alta. Until 1964 there was still a restaurant up here, the walls still stand and invite you to take a break to enjoy the view of the Julier Pass road and Silvaplana. From here it is not far back to the starting point at Surlej bridge.

The hike can be extended to the bathing lake Lej Marsch, which is just above the turning point.
