The landscape in the front part of the Val Tuors is characterized by forest and rock. There you are in the middle of the habitat of various bird of prey species. Long before the bearded vulture returned to Graubünden, other birds of prey were native to the valley. There is talk of golden eagles, hawks, sparrowhawks or kestrels, for example. These birds are also constantly on the lookout.
Observing birds of prey requires patience and a bit of luck. The area of the tour is home to various birds of prey. Eagles, falcons and also the bearded vultures fly again on the mountain slopes in the Albula Valley. The top priority on excursions is not to disturb the animals, which is why the tour remains on hiking trails.
Good shoes with treaded soles, hiking equipment with sun or rain protection, food and drink from the backpack. Binoculars if available. Depending on the weather, warm clothing is recommended. No previous ornithological knowledge necessary and suitable for families.
