Beschreibung

From Vella, the trail leads over Triel to the summit of Hitzeggenkopf. From there, it continues along the ridge to Piz Mundaun. Upon reaching the summit, it is worth taking a break to enjoy the panorama from the observation platform. From Piz Mundaun - affectionately also called Bündner Rigi - you can enjoy views as far as Chur, the Bernese Oberland, and the Austrian Alps. After this sensational view, the restaurant "Bündner Rigi" is another highlight of the trail.

Afterwards, you reach the valley of light (Val Lumnezia) again via Morissen. The end point of the trail is Vella, the unofficial capital of Val Lumnezia.

Sicherheitshinweis

If weather conditions are uncertain, the route should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar develops during the hike, you should turn back in time.
