After such an enjoyable ride, the Trans-Altarezia route ends in suitably Italian style. The stage’s highlights: the trails and the impressive church of San Romerio high above the valley. It continues along old smugglers’ routes and through vineyards via Baruffini down to the destination in Tirano (I).

Beschreibung
After about 1000 meters of ascent, the singletrail begins, more or less along the contour line, to Alpe San Romerio and then via Viano over old smuggler paths and through vineyards via Baruffini down to Tirano, the final destination of the route.

Carry identification documents because the route crosses the border. Additionally, from Poschiavo the stage can be shortened by taxi (Alpentaxi) with prior booking.
