Beschreibung

The Via Capricorn leads in 3 stages across the area of the Safien-Rheinwald ibex colony. On the 1st day you walk through beautiful alpine meadows, past Piz Beverin and the turquoise Schottensee. If you are lucky you will see the ibexes!

Geheimtipp

At weekends from July to October the alpin Beverin bus runs from Wergenstein up to the Anorosa Alp (Tguma car park). With this possibility the walk can be shortened by a few kilometres and especially a lot of elevation. www.busalpin.ch

In Wergenstein the visit to the Capricorn exhibition is worthwhile as a warm-up for the ibex-dominated walk.

Sicherheitshinweis

Sure-footedness is required. The tour is not suitable for small children.

Ausrüstung

Sturdy hiking boots with a non-slip sole, weatherproof and warm clothing, rain protection, food and sufficient water, sun and head protection, first-aid kit, maps, possibly telescopic poles, binoculars or telescope.
