Beschreibung

Wildness and authenticity - you won't find many people here. From Pitasch, mainly natural roads and hiking trails lead further and further up and you look out over lush green meadows. Piz Mundaun stretches out again in the distance to your left, and straight ahead you can see the Brigelser Hörner - a chain of peaks with four peaks in a row. At the foot of the steeply sloping Signina mountain range lies the village of Signina, which used to be inhabited all year round. You can enjoy the original character of today's Maiensässsiedlung before hiking steeply down into the Val da Riein and back up to Riein.

What is the highlight after a hike? Right, good and fresh food from the region. Once you arrive in Riein, you can treat yourself to delicacies from Riein at the Puzaniz farm store or fridge and be rewarded with a beautiful view of Ilanz.

Geheimtipp

This hike is particularly beautiful in the early morning, when the dew has not yet completely dried. Then you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a jungle.

Sicherheitshinweis

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.
