The viaCapricorn leads on the second stage into the primeval Safiental with a magnificent natural landscape shaped by the Walser culture.

Beschreibung
From the mountain guesthouse Beverin, follow the road to the Walser settlement Inner Glas, where a steep path leads down through the forest into the Safiental to the compensation basin of the Zerfreila power plants near Safien Platz.
In Safien village, follow the road upstream to the bridge at the village exit and then take the steep hiking trail up to Hof. From Hof, continue to Camanaboda, a picturesque Walser settlement with its typical wooden houses.
From Camanaboda, the hiking trail climbs right up to the Camaner Hütte and then continues downstream over alpine pastures and through the Camaner forest to the Bächer Hütte.
Through the Bawald, it descends to Thalkirch, past the Thaler Chapel to Turrahus.
Geheimtipp
- In Safien Platz, a visit to the Spensa, a self-service shop with local products, is worthwhile.
- In Camanaboda, there is the Safien Heritage Museum, which is open every 2nd Sunday in summer.
- In Thalkirch at Turrahus, the Safierställe association shows the Walser-influenced cultural landscape of Safien and various types of stables in the exhibition stable Turra.
Sicherheitshinweis
This mountain hike requires surefootedness. The viaCapricorn is not suitable for small children.
Ausrüstung
Sturdy hiking boots with grippy soles, weatherproof and warm clothing, rain protection, provisions and sufficient water, sun and head protection, pocket pharmacy, map material, possibly telescopic poles, binoculars or telescope.
