In the Safiental you will find traditional Walser houses which were built of wood. But not in Valendas. There, stately stone buildings prevail, indicating earlier wealth.
Learn about the history of the mountain village Valendas on this village tour with a total of 14 stations. The route begins at the village square with the largest wooden fountain in Europe and its water nymph from the year 1760 as the fountain post. It is worthwhile to stroll through the village with the brochure "Village Tour Valendas", which is available locally. Valendas has much to offer with its historic and stately patrician buildings as well as its villagescape of national significance. In addition, the permanent exhibition in the stable of the historic Jooshuus provides information about the history and development of the mountain village.

By bus (403) from Ilanz station to the Valendas village bus stop.
By train from Ilanz station to Valendas-Sagogn station. The village of Valendas can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot.
Anreise Information
Motorway Chur–Thusis, exit Bonaduz, in Bonaduz direction Ilanz. Via the historic and scenically spectacular road through the Versamer Tobel, you reach Valendas from Bonaduz after 13.7 kilometers. Coming from Ilanz, drive 6.3 kilometers towards Bonaduz.
Parken
Parking spaces are located on the edge of the village towards Dutjen or at Valendas-Sagogn station.
