In the Safiental you will find traditional Walser houses which were built of wood. But not in Valendas. There, stately stone buildings prevail, indicating earlier wealth.

The route begins at the village square with the largest wooden fountain in Europe and its water nymph from the year 1760 as the fountain post. It is worthwhile to stroll through the village with the brochure "Village Tour Valendas", which is available locally. Valendas has much to offer with its historic and stately patrician buildings as well as its villagescape of national significance.
