Beschreibung

Quinten and the hamlet of Au lie on a peninsula on Lake Walen. Quinten is one of the few car-free places in Switzerland. The mild climate allows figs, lemons, chestnuts, and good wine to ripen.


From Murg West, even in winter, several boats daily run to Au and Quinten. We start the trip with a boat trip from Murg West to Au. After the boat trip, we cross the delta of the Aubach and walk along a wide, beautifully laid-out path along the lake to Quinten.

The route is easily doable in light trekking shoes.

Wegbeschreibung

We follow the hiking trail from Au along the shore westward. After about 15 minutes we reach the Quinten dock.

Anfahrt

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Arrival by train to Murg and boat to Au


Daily to Murg, then on foot about 350 meters to the Murg West dock. Then by boat to Au.

Anreise Information

Via the A3 motorway, exit Murg, then on the main road to Murg. Then by boat to Au.

Parken

In the village of Murg there are several public parking spaces (payable).
