Beschreibung

Every year, the cross-country skiing world elite lines up for the start of Davos Nordic. However, the track is also popular among recreational skiers. The route leads from the Bünda area along the forest to Obersand and then across the Flüelabach to the other side of the valley. Passing by the Adventure Park Färich, which is a ropes and bike park in the summer, the route then ascends. The key point of the track is the famous «Cologna-Stutz», named after the most successful Swiss cross-country skier of all time, who made Davos his home. Many athletes struggle with the 236-meter-long climb on this part of the route. At the small settlement of Waldji, the highest point of the track is reached, and it's also the turnaround point. The track descends a few hundred meters in parallel with the climb before crossing the Flüelabach again. Along the river, skiers can push their speed for about 1.5 kilometers before reaching Obersand again. The last kilometer is also generally slightly downhill and leads back to the starting point of the loop.
