Demanding circular route over the Glas Pass to Safien Platz and further through the Safien Valley to Bonaduz. Passing the Rhäzünser Rhine meadows, the route then continues via Rothenbrunnen back to the starting point.

Beschreibung
After the long ascent from Thusis to the Glas Pass, the descent down to Safien Platz follows. The trail is steep and at times exposed. From Safien Platz, you ride along the Rabiusa, a tributary of the Vorderrhein, downstream.
Through a beautiful gorge in the Aclatobel nature forest reserve, the route continues to Scuolms. The view of the Flimserstein and into the Rhine Gorge from here is breathtaking. After a rapid descent down to Bonaduz, the route follows the Rhäzünser Rhine meadows to Rothenbrunnen.
Geheimtipp
Along the way, there are refreshment options at the Berggasthaus Beverin on the Glas Pass or at the Gasthaus Rathaus in Safien Platz. In the farm shop at Culmserhof at the exit of the Safien Valley, you can recharge with fine local products and chilled drinks. In Bonaduz, Rhäzüns, Thusis, and Cazis, there are various other places to stop for refreshments.
Sicherheitshinweis
In spring, after the snowmelt or heavy rain, the route is not recommended. The descent from the Glas Pass to Safien Platz leads over a steep trail with many root areas that become very slippery when wet.
Ausrüstung
An enduro bike and helmet are indispensable on this route.

Cazis can be reached by the RhB train and PostAuto bus. Further information is available at the SBB online timetable.
