Beschreibung
With the "Piz Val Gronda Bahn E5," Silvretta Seilbahn AG opens up a gigantic and extremely extensive freeride area at once, where everyone should get their money's worth. Especially the descent options into the Fimbatal are very diverse and generally not really difficult. Another advantage is that you end up almost effortlessly back at the Gampenbahn, which comfortably takes you back to the Piz Val Gronda Bahn.
Sicherheitshinweis
The west side of Piz Val Gronda is not extreme in terms of slope and exposure and is also very clear. Nevertheless, caution is always required, especially in poor visibility, wind, and fresh snow. Those who are not familiar or not absolutely sure of what they are doing should better take a mountain guide. The route presented here is only to be seen as a suggestion.
Ausrüstung
Complete avalanche rescue equipment (at least avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, and backpack) as well as a first aid kit are mandatory.
Wegbeschreibung
From the top station of the Piz Val Gronda Bahn initially slightly southwest into a gentle hollow up to an altitude of around 2,650 meters. Then continue northwest until you reach a terrain incision. Now you can already see the Fimbatal below and the path to the Heidelberger Hut. Now more or less always further northwest downhill until you reach the valley floor. From here on the pull path heading north to the Gampenbahn.
