Beschreibung

Fun is guaranteed on the 3.5 km sledging trail from Furt to Maienberg, which is groomed daily. The trail leads through snow-covered forests and also offers uninterrupted views of the Rhine Valley and the surrounding mountains.

Young sledging fans can also look forward to exciting puzzles on the Pizol sledging run, which they can solve together with the MounTeens detective gang.

Geheimtipp

The Furt - Maienberg route is floodlit for night sledging on Friday evenings. Can be ideally combined with the combined ticket incl. fondue fun.

Sicherheitshinweis

The ski slope crosses the toboggan run once. Ski carefully and slowly here.

Ausrüstung

Sledge or bobsleigh, ski helmet, comfortable and waterproof winter shoes or sturdy hiking boots, waterproof outdoor pants and jacket, gaiters if necessary, waterproof gloves, sun protection.

If you don't bring your own sledge, you can hire sledges from the Wachter sports store directly at the mountain station and at the start of the sledge run on the ford.

Wegbeschreibung

The toboggan run is easily accessible via the Wangs gondola lift. We start the run directly from the top station of the gondola lift. The first section of the run gets off to a fast start. After a brisk section parallel to the ski slope, the trail branches off to the right, where it winds its way through the forest with a few sharp bends. After about 5 minutes, we leave the forest and a great view of the Rhine Valley and the surrounding mountains opens up. Here the ski slope crosses the toboggan run once. We ride carefully and slowly until we pass the crossing. In the lower section of the route, the path becomes flatter. Sometimes we ride through snow-covered forests, sometimes we reach more open sections, which allow us to catch a glimpse of the fantastic view. The toboggan run ends at the middle station of the Wangs gondola lift. This appears on the right-hand side after a 10-minute ride. Above the station, we branch off onto the path to the right of the road.
