SEGNES TREK - Etappe 3: Bargis - Segnespass

In the morning, the stage begins gently through the Bargis Valley. Keep an eye on the mountain slopes — you might spot chamois or ibex. Marmots are also among the typical residents of this high plateau.

The trail gradually ascends and leads to La Rusna, where you can take a short detour to visit the “Cathedral” — a waterfall that is often visited as a place of natural energy and reflection.

Back on the main trail, the route traverses the southern flank of the Trinserhorn, heading toward Fuorcla Raschaglius (2,554 m). The rugged high-alpine landscape and the surrounding 3,000-meter peaks are truly breathtaking.

Once you reach the top, the Upper Segnes Plain (Segnesboden) unfolds at your feet, and soon you’ll have an open view of the Martinsloch and the Tschingelhörner peaks. It’s not far to the Segnes Pass, and the final ascent is made easier thanks to fixed chains along the way.

The Segnespass Mountain Lodge is beautifully nestled on the ridge between the Tschingelhörner and Piz Segnes.
