Beschreibung

From Pigniu, a forest road first leads up, with a view of the Piz Medel. From Stavel Ura, the path becomes a narrow path lined with blueberry bushes and leads up to Fuorcla da Ranasca. From there, impressive views of Brigelser Hörner, Bifertenstock, Tödi, Crap Masegn and Bündner Vorab open up.

The trail is hardly recognizable in places, but markings guide reliably. The ascent to Fuorcla da Sagogn runs over light limestone slabs and interesting karst formations. From the saddle, the wide Flims mountains can be seen. A well-developed path continues, past clear mountain lakes and babbling streams, to Nagens and up to Grauberg, the gateway to Segnesboden. Finally, the plateau opens up with the striking Tschingelhörner in the background, and the terrace of the Segneshütte invites you to take a well-deserved rest.

Geheimtipp

For the tour, early reservation of the huts is necessary, as places are limited.

Sicherheitshinweis

In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar comes up during the hike, you should turn back in time.

Ausrüstung

For the long-distance hike, it is recommended: hiking backpack with rain cover, good hiking boots or trekking shoes with a firm profile, weather-appropriate clothing in the multi-layer principle including rain and sun protection, a change of clothes, provisions and drinking water, telescopic poles, a first aid kit, pocket knife, headlamp, maps, hut sleeping bag and personal hygiene articles.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway takes you through the spectacular Rhine Gorge to Ilanz. Then take the post bus from Ilanz to Pigniu to the Pigniu, Vitg stop.

Important: To PIgniu there are only 3 different connections per day.
